Off grid accommodation Huts at the north end of the Isle of Bute
Commissioned by the community owned Bute Forest as a design and build project, the site chosen has far reaching views along the coast to the north end of the island, the huts nestled on the hillside took inspiration from charcoal burners that once worked in the forest. As the woodland is protected it was essential the build had a low impact on the landscape, using hand installed ground screws, keeping to existing tracks and using Larch from the community Forest.
